Photo Gallery

The list of Galleries on the right currently contains images taken during the 60th Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007, plus the images from the 2008 Fringe Festival which I have just completed photographing, I would aim to have  the remainder edited and uploaded by mid to late September 2008.

Due to dull and showery conditions for the three weeks of the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival it has been a less fruitful year for colourful photographs than the previous five years that I have spent on the streets photographing the Fringe, this has been especially true for images of Street Performers. As I generally shoot wide to include the audience this often includes a reasonable amount of sky, however an insipid grey sky does not give a desirable backdrop for the images, especially when they include aerial acrobatics. Therefore, many Street Performers shows that I would liked to have photographed during 2008 were not due to lousy conditions for photography. 

I admire these guys, male and female, immensely for the tenacity they showed in carrying on with their performace when slippery conditions often made it precarious for their own safety.
